In this CD, Udi Davidi has broken through the formulaic presentation of religious music and delivers genuine inspiration, with superb musicianship and excellent, clean production. Davidi gives voice to emotions that range from angst (Et Kol Hata'ai) to purposeful whimsy (Beit Hashem Neilech), all with a distinct Breslov flavor, but not so much that a non-Breslover (like yours truly) feels left out. The styles of music in the selections also vary: straight-ahead rock, classic midlle eastern, cool jazz, among others -- many within the same song. I found this CD positively addictive from the first listen. Elisha
